Spotlight of the Week – T.I.M.E Stories
Step into the Animus, my friend and get ready to relieve the memories of your ancestors. Oh what? Wrong game? Aren’t we playing Assassin’s Creed? Oh.. It is T.I.M.E Stories.
Seriously though, that was the first thought I had in mind when I first heard about T.I.M.E Stories (Hate typing this title, you try it and you will know why). It is a game about exploring around in certain scenarios as characters that are from different eras, such as medieval times, early 20th Century etc. The object of the game is to make the perfect run, while solving all of the puzzles and overcoming all of a scenario’s obstacles. Sounds like Assassin’s Creed, isn’t it?
Other new titles and restocks that we have coming in this week include multiple Top 100 Games from Board Game Geek.
They include the highly acclaimed epic space war adventure Eclipse, which plays between 1 to 3 hours. Take control of a vast interstellar civilization and compete for success with your rivals. You will need to explore new star systems, research technologies, and build spaceships to wage war with. There are many potential paths to victory, so you need to plan your strategy according to the strengths and weaknesses of your species, while paying attention to the other civilizations’ endeavors.
Next, we have farming simulator, Agricola, which plays between 30 to 150 minutes. In Agricola, you are a farmer with a spouse. On a turn, you get to take only two actions, one for you and one for the spouse, from all the possibilities you’ll find on a farm: collecting clay, wood, or stone; building fences; and so on. You might think about having kids in order to get more work accomplished, but first you need to expand your house. And what are you going to feed all the little rugrats? Choices, choices..
Also, we have restocks for a bunch of games and that includes a favorite of ours, Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective, along with Elder Sign: Omens of Ice, Ticket to Ride: Europe, The Grizzled and Patchwork.
